Funeral Expenses and Loving Support

It is the midddle of the night and I can’t sleep. My heart is broken for Natalie and Walker Boggs and their family because their beautiful baby boy, Barrett Anthony Boggs went to be with Jesus yesterday afternoon, September 25th. There are no words to describe the overwhelming heartache and pain that his parents, grandparents, family and friends are experiencing as a result of this sudden loss. Barrett was an incredible gift from God, and while we don’t understand...his parents are trusting in the “God of all comfort who comforts us with His love...(2 Cor. 1:3-5)...and so must we.
In times like this, we all want to “do something” to help...yet we all feel helpless to do anything that can truly ease the suffering. While it cannot take the pain away, we CAN do something to ease the financial burden they will incur as a result of these unexpected emergency, medical and funeral expenses.
I know all of you would agree that Natalie and Walker are two of the most incredible, loving parents that we have ever had the pleasure of knowing! Beyond that, they are simply beautiful people, inside and out. To bear this burden with them, as we comfort and love them through this time, will be a heart wrenching, yet sacred, honor and privilege.
They are truly examples of what it means to be a living testimony of grace for the Living Lord Jesus, who is the greatest Source of their strength in this time of unbearable grief. By the word of their very own testimony, they desire to see Christ exalted in this time as they look to Him for mercy and peace, for comfort and healing. They are trusting that He will be true to His promise: that His grace IS sufficient and that He is near to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. (2 Cor. 12:9, Psalm 34:18)
Please commit to pray for them and, if possible, to help bear this burden in whatever way the Lord leads you, and so fulfill the law of Christ (Gal. 6:2). It is an achingly beautiful experience to willingly enter into another person’s pain...yet in this, we are the hands and feet of Christ to the broken.
