Funeral Costs of USMC Veteran

Donation protected
Our son Nicholas Ryan Norton passed away suddenly Wednesday September 5th. Many have asked how they can help, in lieu of flowers we ask that you contribute to his funeral costs. Please help us raise money for the funeral of Nicholas Ryan Norton which will be held on September 12. His body is being transported back to Ohio from Pennsylvania, hence the costs are too significant for myself to cover alone. Unfortunately Nick did not have life insurance which contributes to the cost of the funeral greatly. We wish to give him a proper funeral and burial.

The funds raised will go toward putting Nick to rest properly. These funds will be going to Joseph Norton, the father of Nicholas Norton. He will be the primary beneficiary of the funds once the amount has been reached.

Who Nick was:

Nick was a decorated Unites States Marine Corps Veteran who served two tours in Iraq. He was a man of honor and cared deeply for his friends, family, and country. Because of his service in Iraq Nick suffered from PTSD as many veterans do.

Messages from his family:

Colleen Paul-Hus (sister)

Our family called us the ‘irish twins’. Not only were we close in age, our bond was tight. I loved him dearly and my heart hurts tremendously as I grieve our loss. He may have been my little brother but he would have done anything for me and always took on the role of ‘protecting his sister’. Anyone will tell you his laugh was contagious. I can hear it in my mind as I type this. If he wasn’t dancing or smiling he was joking with his family and friends. He was so young at heart. I miss him dearly. Please donate what you are able. I look forward to seeing everyone and sharing all our joyful memories.

Maria Smith (Sister)

Nick is my baby brother.  I was in high school when he was born. He was the cutest and sweetest baby ever.  He looked like a Cabbage Patch doll (that's telling my age).  He was a bit adventerous and daring.  I remember him as a toddler climbing out the second story window and playing with his toys on the roof. Fast forward, now he is a Marine serving his country.  He made me so proud to be his sister.  While in Irag, he sent flowers to me on my birthday.  There is his sweet side. Unfortunately, he came home and suffered from PTSD and was in a rehab program through the Verteran's Administration. He was a loving brother, son and uncle and trying to get his life together. He came home and spent the summer with family.  We have so many wonderful memories. He passed away very suddenly and our family was not prepared.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your donations.
