Funeral and memorial for Jurnee

Donation protected
On the morning of September 6th, while the rest of the world enjoyed  Labor Day, our family's world stopped turning. My sweet, smart, energetic and loving 8yr old niece Jurnee passed away suddenly of unknown causes. She leaves behind her mother (Keydra), her father (Joseph), her big brother whom she looked up to and loved so much (Jaden) her sisters whom she had close bonds with (Jada), (Jodi) and (Chanel) along with many other family and friends who loved Jurnee so deeply.

It is hard for to share Jurnee's story because her time on this earth was so short, but for those that were blessed enough to know her, understand the immense impact she had on our lives. Born into this world with her left arm underdeveloped past her elbow Jurnee's life started with challenges, but you would have never known it by how she took on life. There was nothing Jurnee could not do. The way she loved her family and her life was unmeasurable. She enjoyed dancing, singing, cheering for her brother, being around her family, and spending time doing anything with her mother who was her best friend. She was also very proud of her achievements with the girl scouts. Although she was small in stature, she had the spirit and personality of a giant. She had big plans when she grew up. She often said when she grows up she wanted to influence people and make them happy. She didn't know that she influenced and made so many people happy every time she was around or when she would take her mother's phone to call you just to say hi.

Those calls will be missed.

As a parent, you don't plan for the death of a child and this has caught my sister and Joseph off guard mentally, emotionally, and financially. I will use these funds raised with this Gofundme will go towards medical bills, the funeral, and memorial arrangements as well as any potential counseling that is needed to help my sister Keydra, Joseph, and her siblings get through this trying time. Over the past few days, we have been trying to think of ways to help her family other than being there, holding them up when the pain gets too much, praying, and telling them how much we love them. What do you do when you can’t find the words? We don’t know. We also know that these funds can’t bring Jurnee back, but the hope is that it will help relieve some of the financial stress that has come along with this devastating loss.

If you want to contribute through other methods please contact me directly.

Thank you for all the prayers, love and support.
