It is with a very heavy heart I have to share with you the news about the passing of my dear friend Jerry Bovin.
A few years ago I heard about Jerry from my colleague neuro-oncologist who would always admire Jerry’s fantastic attitude, his caring wife Helen, and his loving daughter Yana. I heard about them so often that finally, I asked to be introduced. I will be honest with you – over many years I met many people, but only a few of them became true friends. Jerry was one of them. I have been watching his battle with cancer for many years. Thanks to Helen’s efforts he became a legendary survivor. Normally glioblastoma kills people in 1 year, but this was not a normal patient – he was Helen’s husband. Helen opened the doors of all major facilities in the country. She stole life from this deadly disease, but unfortunately, we lost the battle
Helen is not aware that I am starting this fundraiser and will probably call me the minute I post it with a request to take it down, but I want her to know that her sorrow is not just her sorrow and I would like to ask all of you to help me to help her to share this pain.
Over the last few years, she has outrageous medical expenses from the University of Colorado hospital, MD Anderson, and many others.
I would be very grateful if every one of you reading this message can give her a hand in any possible way- financial, prayer, hug, meal, text message.
All of the money will go directly to them to help with medical and funeral expenses.
