Funeral and Celebration for Nouara

My best friend Kudzai is one of the strongest people I know. Unfortunately, on the 27th of December 2018 I was sat next to her when she received devastating news. Her incredible mother, Nouara, had lost her battle with cancer. Witnessing her and her sister Tinashe's courage and strength in that moment was amazing. They managed to both remain composed as we were in a nail salon, despite their world around them falling apart.
Kudzai is currently studying Psychology at Southampton University and therefore, as a student her finances are limited. Her mothers funeral costs amount to over £7000 and Kudzai will have to use her savings to pay for it. Nouara amassed these funds throughout her life and this money is for Kudzai and Tinashe’s future, in order to give them stability. Therefore we ask that you donate, to ensure Nouara gets the funeral that she deserves and so Kudzai can use her savings for her and Tinashe's future. We want it to be a day of celebration, to remember the life of a remarkable and vibrant woman.
If you were lucky enough to know Nouara then you will know what a special lady she was. She worked so hard to give Kudzai and Tinashe a wonderful life, she would often be found scouring the internet for deals for hours on end, so she could take Kudzai and Tinashe on incredible holidays. She was so kind and generous and loving and these qualities live on in her children. Nouara herself lost a parent when she was only fifteen, and I hope this gives hope to Kudzai and Tinashe that despite such a devastating event, they can and will still be able to lead successful and happy lives, just as their mother did. Nouara will be watching from her golden throne in heaven, beaming with pride.
This evening I visited a place that Kudzai would often go with Nouara, and together, Kudzai and I walked around and thought about her. I've said this to Kudzai and I will say it here for you all too: nothing will ever be the same. But it will get easier over time.
Let us make the funeral process easier for Kudzai and her family and lighten the burden that Kudzai has about her finances. The last thing she needs right now is worrying about having to use her savings.
