Funeral & Burial Services for Marty Pugsley

In February of 2019, Marty Pugsley (Lisa Rio, Lynette Pugsley, and Leann Pugsley's mom) was diagnosed with Esophageal Cancer. She had a 4" tumor blocking her esophagus preventing her from eating and drinking anything. She then went through chemotherapy and radiation treatments for four weeks in hopes to reduce the size of the tumor for surgery. She went into surgery on June 3, 2019 and the cancerous tumor was successfully removed. On June 12, she suffered a seizure while she was in the hospital recovering from the surgery. The doctors called for tests regarding the seizure and discovered she had a brain tumor as well. 

From this point on, Marty's body was deteriorating and rejecting the treatment, medication, and nutritional supplements. The family struggled to keep her as comfortable as possible. She had 3 Emergency Room trips and was admitted back into the hospital twice.  Marty's final wish was to live her last few days at home. Unfortunately, her last stay in the hospital is where she spent her last few days of life. Marty passed away on Friday, July 19, 2019 at 1:45 a.m. with her family by her side.

Services are scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. on  Friday, July 26, 2019 with the memorial video and viewing from 1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Chapel of the Angels, 40842 Fremont Blvd., Fremont, CA 94538.
