English version below

Let’s help Ari to beat BREAST CANCER…

Do you want to join her to do it?

Hi, everyone! My name is Ariana Pasini Moreno. I’m 26 years old, I live in Mérida, Venezuela. I was born in a small town called Timotes and I’ve been diagnosed with breast cancer.

In November 2016 I felt a lump in my right breast. To be honest, even though you hear stories all the time I don’t think anyone expects it to happen to them. When I went to the doctor, I received the news that changed my life, that the lump that was growing in my breast could
possibly be cancer. It’s hard to explain what kind of thoughts goes through a persons mind in a moment like that, if I had to describe my process in one word, I would choose DENIAL.

I consider myself as a strong woman, I love sports, I climb with passion those mountains that makes my mornings more beautiful and i’m also a
Yoga teacher. I eat healthy, I don’t smoke and I’ve never had any sort of addiction.

Therefore, just like watching a character in a story that seemed to belong to someone else, I attended every lecture about the subject and read every study and article about my possible cancer. During the process, my breast was pierced with needles many times, the doctors did all kinds of tests and analysis to determinate if it was cancer. The tests turned out to be negative
(I was relieved thinking that It wasn’t cancer).

In June 2017, the decision was made: they where going to do a surgery. The doctors did a partial mastectomy; the menacing bulge was removed.
With that done, I thought that was the end of this bad story, I was thrilled, the lump and the possibility of having cancer were gone, so my life was not at risk anymore and the hardest and painful episode of my life was finally over. Nevertheless, the biopsy results regarding that "benign" tumor, broke down all my hopes. Diagnosis: Invasive ductal carcinoma
(IDC), also known as negative infiltrating ductal carcinoma according to the three most common indicators about breast cancer. It turns out I have
some weird, hard and aggressive kind of cancer… and the tumor reappeared.

I'm the only child of a single mom, she has always been a hard worker and she has made a big amount of sacrifices for me. Thanks to her I grew up becoming a good woman. Today, I'm in my last semester of Civil
Engineering. I graduated as International Chef and I also work as freelance designer. As you can see, I like to keep myself busy. I want to beat this cancer! I want to have a happy ending and become a living example of
that, if there’s a will, there’s a way! I want to live! I want to be able to wake up every single morning, and keep enjoying my beautiful city Mérida. I wish so bad to get my degree as an Engineer, standing in the
Aula Magna and finally say‘I did it!’ When I look back at my life I only see beautiful things to live for, therefore I took the decision of holding on to hope, being able to get up back on my feet and fight. I just can’t let it
defeat me… I don’t want to be beaten down. I love my life, my family, my friends and the endless process of learning. I definitely want more! But, I can’t do it all by myself. It’s not a secret that Venezuela is going through
it’s worst crisis in it’s history and as a result of that, there’s no basic medicines, not even high pressure pills, among others and they are hard to find. So, getting chemotherapy is some kind of titanic task. Family and
Friends have been restlessly looking for it and they have found those medicines and substances for the chemotherapies in Colombia and other places around the world. To start the treatment, I need 8 chemotherapy (some of the medicines are: docetaxel, Doxorubicina, Ciclofosfamida,
Neupogen, Recormon, Emend, Carboplatino, Onicit), It has been prescribed to me, but costs are very high, we can’t afford them. This is the reason why I’m asking for your support; it doesn’t matter if it’s a small or big contribution. Another way of giving me support is by
sharing my story. That will help me too. Every donation received will make a huge difference in my life. I’m not going to lie, I’m afraid of what’s coming next, I’m terrified. But I know I’m not alone, I have family
and friends who gives me a huge emotional support, so I feel loved. Thanks to all of that I believe I can do it, I’ll be vibrating in every moment of my life with all the experiences God has put on my way, turning this
hard experience in to a miracle.

Please help me to be able to afford my treatment.

From this day on, I lay my life in God’s hands, and I’m asking him to open healing paths and give me the victory against breast cancer. Help me to become a breast cancer survivor, so I’ll be able to tell my story!
