Iowa or Bust: 7th grade OM team

We are a group of 7th graders trying to represent Danville and our school, San Ramon Valley Christian academy at the  world competition for Odyssey of the Mind held at Iowa State on May 23.  We need to raise this money by May 1.  We responded to a technical problem by building a car to compete in a triathlon performance and won the state championship. Parents are not allowed to help and we are judged on creativity and thinking outside the box.   We made our own costumes, used recycled materials, engineered a car, and wrote a screen play.  We won our division for all of California.  The money will go towards  air travel from California to Iowa, and the cost of staying in the dorms plus our meals at Iowa State for the duration of the competition.  There are 6 team members and our coach.  Odyssey of the Mind is a great competition because it encourages kids to  be creative thinkers and problem solvers.
