Funds needed by Flag Day to save Veteran’s Home

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Don and I’ve been asked to set up another GoFundMe after the original one only raised $130 because of the lack of media coverage. I’m raising funds to save my home that was set on fire while I was on my 3rd Deployment with The Kansas Army National Guards.
It was a month after I came home from my deployment before I was able to leave the Warrior Transition Unit at Ft Riley, Kansas to assess the damage to my home. I thought I would be able to manage my medical and mental issues and deal with the house fire at the same time and was assured by the Warrior Transition Unit that the help was available even though I was having to mentally deal with the aftermath of my house being intentionally set on fire.
It was a challenge with a multitude of physical and mental conditions and then a diagnosis requiring shoulder surgery that required me to be put back onto active duty orders for six months to recover after 45 days of being released from the Warrior Transition Unit.
Many resources were recommended to help but I never was able to qualify for them.
After I was able to get a majority of the house cleaned and was able to get a Structural Engineer Report the assessment of the damage was not as bad as perceived.
Even with the evidence of the limited damage of the fire the City of Wichita voted to condemn the house and proceed with a ten day notice to remove all my personal items and to begin demolition. I then placed the sign in my yard with my American Flag on it Saturday morning and Monday morning at 3:30 someone was caught on camera lighting my flag on fire.
A week after voting to condemn it, they voted to give me 60 days, which ironically is Flag Day, to secure financial funds for repairs reported in the Structural Engineers Report and to replace the roof
I have also been contacted my various news outlets since placing my sign out and been able to conduct interviews with the media and tell my story and the challenges I have had since the fire.
