Funds for Shine

On October 25, 2017, Bob Lindsey was in a terrible car accident on his way home from delivering newspapers early in the morning. He suffered fractured vertebrae and had to be airlifted to MCV-VCU hospital from Callao, VA. At the time of being airlifted, Bob was alert and able to communicate with the EMTs. Bob underwent a very long surgery to repair the fractured vertebrae but was still left paralyzed from the neck down, at least temporarily.
On Friday October 27th, Bob's ventilator was taken out and he was able to breathe on his own and spent a good portion of the day (when he was not sleeping) talking with his wife - Barbara Shine - who had been by his side for the majority of the time he had been in the hospital.
Though things were looking up on Friday, Bob unfortunately passed away on Saturday October 28th due to injuries he had sustained from the accident.
Unfortunately both Bob and Shine worked to pay their bills, even though they were both in their 70s. Since Bobs accident, Shine has been unable to work due to living in Richmond to be closer to the hospital and not having transportation anymore since the car Bob crashed was their only reliable vehicle that they saved their money to buy 3 months prior to the accident.
Shine will need help to pay her bills, pay the medical bills that Medicare does not cover for Bob's surgery, hospitalization and transports to the hospital from Callao in the northern neck. There is also a need for a new car so that Shine has transportation to/from work and to medical appointments of her own.
Any and all donations would be greatly appreciated no matter how big or small they may seem.
