Funds for Manuel's funeral
My brother, Manuel Jr. Quintana, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2017 and we need help with final expenses.
Manuel came to Converse TX to help me while my husband, Jacob, recovered from surgery. Manuel was indeed a servant and was always helping everyone and putting everyone above himself which is why he didn't have much in money or possessions. It never mattered who it was, he was going to help. He helped us run the storage facility we manage and our tenants grew to love him in a very short time. We have had an influx of love poured out to us since his death. Manuel was a man who didn't have many desires just to serve God with his whole heart and serve others to be pleasing to his heavenly Father. In my lifetime as his sister I have seen him go through many ups and downs and always come out of his pain with great grace. My husband found Manuel in our guest bedroom on his knees leaning over his bed praying with his bible next to him. We have never had to ask for help and honestly don't like to but at this time we need all the help we can get as we do not have a penny towards his funeral expenses. I have been directed by many to cremate him but my brother had talked to me one time in his life that he would like to be buried in a plain wooden box with no bells and whistles as he believed we should take care of people while they are living. Manuel was not a fan of asking for help or for freebees. I would love to give him a proper funeral as it is the last thing I will ever get to do for him. My heart is breaking at this loss, it is a great loss, and writing this is more difficult that anyone can ever imagine. We have been blessed with our employer who immediately saw our difficulty of being in our home after finding our brother gone and has graciously loved on us and provided a hotel for us to get us into a change of atmosphere, she is the kind of boss anyone can love.
All funds will be used for Manuel's funeral expenses and to help bring and tend to family here for the funeral. We have lost not only my brother but my mom, dad, stepfather, father-in-law, and our dog Moses all in a 2 1/2 year period so as you can see we are in great need.
I, Christine, Manuel's sister will be handling all the funds properly and will never abuse any person's kindness in giving to this need. I believe in being accountable to God for handling carefully all monies that come into my hand, this you can be confidant of in your giving. We need to reach at least $6000.00 within one week to tend to caring for Manuel, a man who cared for many.
