Dear Community,

Our dear elder Jeanie Rutherford is now 80 years old! We were able to meet her to celebrate her life and all the ways that she has held and nurtured our community through her yummy nurturing foods, her astrology readings, her beautiful energy, and her love!!

Now is the time for us to return that love and help her during her time of need.

For the past year Jeanie has faced many challenges with her health. Last August she had a mild stroke from a long ocular migraine. She was then diagnosed with A-fib and congestive heart failure and diagnosed with COPD after recovering from lung cancer 6 years ago. Jeanie’s health crisis included 14 hospital admission/stays, 14 ambulance runs and many prescriptions. She is currently on 12 medications a day, 3 inhalers, a nebulizer, night oxygen and a B-PAP machine. During these last 6 months, she has been able to build her strength and stamina back up. Recently Jeanie had another health set back, she had another mild stroke at the base of her skull, on top of these issues an onset of dental problems that needs to be taken care of. Unfortunately, she has thousands and thousands of dollars of medical bills to pay.

On top of these mounting issues and expenses, Jeanie was unfortunately in a mild fender bender (all persons ok). The repair shop is estimating $5,000 in repairs (front motor mount replace fender, etc). Jeanie relies on her car to take her to her multiple doctors’ visits, the dentist and, at times, the hospital.

This Go Fund Me is to support our beautiful elder Jeanie in these difficult times with funds to fix her car and to catch up on some of her medical bills. We thank you for any contribution you can offer. We thank you for your continued prayers and loving thoughts!
