Funds For Eanes

Donation protected
Hi! My name is Jessica Gardner. On October 11, 2018, a very close friend of mine (Steven Eanes) was home in his apartment in Salem, VA when he received a knock on his door. It was the Salem Police Department. They were issuing a mandatory evacuation of the area due to flooding caused by hurricane Michael. He had very little time to pack his belongings. He was only able to gather his work uniforms, his duty weapon and his computer. Within an hour of receiving the notice to evacuate the water had already reached knee high levels. It became unsafe for him to attempt to retrieve any other belongings and he had to leave. Fortunately Steven is safe and has a warm place to stay. Unfortunately all of this belongings have been ruined to include the brand new TV he had purchased only days prior to the flood. The apartment complex is not reliable for any of the damages to his belongings and he was not made aware he needed flood insurance. I am hoping by creating this GoFundMe page, as a community we can gather up enough money to help get my friend back on his feet. The funds will be spent on items such as living room furniture, kitchen necessities, bedroom furniture, and other household items as needed. He lost everything he had. So he is literally starting over. Steven is a Deputy Sheriff with the Roanoke County Sheriff's Department. He is an active member of his community and has never met a stranger. If you are able to help at all, I know it will be greatly appreciated by him! Thank you for taking the time to read his story.
