"Help and Encouragement for David and Marcia Baxley"
On Thursday, August 2nd, David passed out and fell resulting in broken bones in both of his shoulders in addition to several fractured vertebrae and a fractured sternum. He had surgery where a plate was inserted along with pins to repair and re-attach tendons to his shoulder ball joint in his right arm. During initial examination at the hospital, a mass was discovered on one of David's kidneys. The doctors advise that as soon as David is strong enough in about two weeks, surgery will be scheduled to remove the affected kidney because there is a strong indication that it is cancerous. David has a very limited range of movement in his arms and is unable to perform a normal daily routine of caring for himself because of these injuries. He will be released from the hospital this week and Marcia will be caring for him at home until he is strong enough to care for himself. This puts an additional strain on them since she is not getting a paycheck during this time. She has already been out of work for about three weeks. Several of you have asked how you can help. This Go Fund Me account has been set up for David and Marcia to make it more convenient for those of you who would like to help with their financial needs as David recuperates.
