THE DREAM:
I would love to have a badass 40th birthday party on Saturday, November 23rd, 2019 (this year, thankfully, it is the weekend before Thanksgiving, so it should not interfere too much), to celebrate life! Yes, I am STILL ALIVE! Plus, dancing and performing has always been my passion since 7 years old, I have danced ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, was on dance team, did competitions for my sorority, and then was a belly dancer who did solo performances and was also in a troupe. My goal lately has been to improve my ballroom dancing (and actually follow, LOL).
Both the party and dancing are pricey, and you all know I am just a little teacher. But both are worth it!
Those of you who know me know I am not really the type to...have a wedding, baby, wedding shower, or baby shower, but I have attended plenty of yours and enjoyed celebrating life/lives with you! :-D
However, if you have been to my parties 1) know how I love to throw them and 2) know how I love theme parties and dressing up! This will be an Old Hollywood Style theme party. Dress up as your favorite star from the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, or 90s! Plenty of options and easy peasy!
No other tangible presents and only donations (amount decided by you, but of course none too small or big!) from friends and family, please . PLEASE DONATE BY OCTOBER 1st, 2019 FOR PLANNING PURPOSES. You really can't bring anything into the mansion, anyway. They are very strict about having parties with THEIR decorations, cake, alcohol, etc.
So, we have reserved and paid for a 8-10 PM appetizer party at the Mansion on O. Street in Washington DC.
