Funds for Bailey the Dogs Horrific Injury

Bailey is a 9-month-old Cane Corso Mastiff. He is a rescue pup.
On New Year’s Day morning Bailey was out enjoying his usual walk, he peed near a bench then stooped under it, and that was when this horrifying incident began.
As Bailey stooped under the bench, he came into contact with a broken bottle. The glass sliced into his penis down to the urethra causing poor Bailey a great deal of pain and a life-threatening injury
Bailey has been in the vets, fighting for his life for a week, he was heavily sedated and is nowhere near out of the woods. The vets are talking about full penile amputation and castration, basically completely robbing him of his masculinity.
Bailey's owner has been a dear friend of mine for many years. I've known her to adopt several rescue Mastiffs over the years. She is a wonderful and loving dog owner. During this time she is not able to work as she is self-employed and as she is unable to leave him alone so this whole thing is already costing a huge amount.
I was so shocked and saddened to hear what happened to Bailey and well aware that on top of the emotional distress this is causing, the veterinary costs are going to hit really hard. What an awful way to begin the new year.
Bailey is such a sweet boy. What happened to him is devastating and it could have been avoided if only someone hadn't been so reckless.
I want to ask you all to please help Bailey by donating whatever you can, even just a couple of pounds, no amount is too small.
The initial veterinary fees are already at 1500 and this is going to go up if amputation is necessary.
Please help my friend and her beautiful pup to recover from this.
