Funds for Afghanistan

    Salaam everyone, my name is Saba and my friends and I are doing this fundraiser as way to help the people of Afghanistan that have been affected by Covid-19 and can no longer work. One of the most popular jobs in Afghanistan is being a worker for high income families, this job is no longer acquired since the lockdown has been in affect. I’m sure many of you know Afghanistan is a country that is already in poverty but this pandemic has made the living conditions even worse. People cannot even afford a piece of bread. The goal of this fundraiser to help families in need get a meal without starving themselves.  

    We are so grateful for what we have even though we are in quarantine, this is not the case for the people of Afghanistan. They still have to go out and find some sort of job to do in order to make ends meet. Some people can’t even afford a piece of bread. The goal of this fundraiser is to help people get adequate meals during the holy month of Ramadan. We plan on making care packages per each family, this will include the basic food necessities such as flour, sugar, oil, beans, etc. 

    The funding is going towards Sami, he is a humble and trustworthy person that I have worked with before. Last year when I went to Afghanistan, we were able to finance the digging of wells in a couple of villages in Afghanistan. We are going to be using my grandma’s house to distribute essential supplies.
