Fundraising to help my best friend Simon Fearn

Hello my name is Michael Hoult and I am trying to raise £2500 to support my best friend Simon Fearn. On the 12th May 2023 Simon suffered a subarachnoid hemorige, which meant he has been in the ICU at QMC Nottingham. Due to the subarachnoid hemorige, he has also had sepsis, an infection in his brain and spinal fluid, 2 blood clots, one in his pulmonary artery and the other in his lung, lastly he suffered vasospasm which has caused brain damage. He is current waiting to be moved to Derby to undergo rehab and physio.

The money is being raise is to help Simon when he can finally come home as he is a self employed painter and decorator who wont be able to go back to work. Along with this it’s is for petrol for his partner who isn’t able to go to work due visiting him everyday from the hours of 1-7. With the nurses being overworked Caroline tries to help by giving him different drinks and food to ensure he is making a stronger recovery, she also makes sure that Simon is trying to move as he lost movement in the right side of his body. Along with all of this she is making sure that he is communicating as he is currently suffering with short term memory loss. She was due back to work Monday 12th of June but due the fact she finishes at 6 and Simon is visiting hours finish’s at 7 means she can’t go back as of yet.
