Fundraising in Honour of Xuan Thuy Pham

Our family is fundraising on behalf of our beloved father/grandfather. Xuan Thuy Pham passed on November 21st, 2020 at 2:34am. The funeral costs are being covered by our family. However, we would like to fundraise $10,000 on his behalf to donate to 3 different causes. All donations will be given according to the following:
40% of the raised donations will be given toward aid for the flood crisis in Vietnam, his motherland.
30% to the Oncology department at Pierre-Boucher Hospital where Xuan Thuy Pham received treatment and care for the last 3 years of his life.
30% will be donated to the Buddhist temples and meditation centres where he received spiritual guidance and mental support in his final years.
Our father/grandfather was a loving man who leaves behind 8 children and 10 grandchildren. He had many friends and was loved dearly by each of us. He escaped Vietnam with his family on a boat and lived in Hong Kong refugee camp for 2 years. Our family arrived in Toronto in 1984, where our father worked multiple jobs to support his children. Our father was a hard working man who was extremely caring and loving. Our father loved Canada and was always extremely grateful for the opportunities this great nation has given us. Generous, kind, forgiving, compassionate and optimistic are words commonly used to describe him. He would be proud to know that donations were given on his behalf to causes that were so dear to his heart.
We thank everyone who has reached out with their support and condolences in this time of mourning. We the Pham family have suffered a great loss but wish to celebrate our father/grandfather's generous life by giving back to the community, and pillars that supported his fight against cancer.
