Special Fundraising for The Rochester Family

Dear Family, Extended Family, and Friends of the Rochester Family: On April 24, 2020, the Rochester's lost their family home of more than 40 years to an All-Consuming, Devastating house fire. Mom and Dad Rochester built this home all these years ago so that they could raise their children - Valarie, Vincent II, and Vernon. As a result of this catastrophic event, the Rochester family lost all of their personal property and historical items; and as a Family, they need all of our help and support. Vernon Rochester, the youngest son, who is a graduate of both Haddon Heights High School and Bloomsburg University, and who also was a Beloved member of both school's football teams, sustained injuries from the fire leaving him hospitalized and on a ventilator. Vernon's "special family," Sonya Shockley and her grandson Nasir, we're also present during the fire, but with God's grace, also escaped, along with Mr. Rochester and Vincent II, who again, with God's grace was able to heroically carry Vernon from the fire to safety. Vincent II, attended Rutgers University (New Brunswick, NJ), became a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., Tau Zeta Chapter Rutgers University New Brunswick,NJ on May 9, 1981. On April 28th, Vernon underwent skin graft surgery to restore areas of his body that were badly burned in the fire. There will be extensive rehab required for Vernon to begin the physical healing process. The family needs our support, now more than ever, and your donation(s) will not only help them meet all of their personal needs, but also support the medical, equipment and transportation needs of Vernon, that are necessary for him to maintain his physical strength and mobility.
