Fundraising for Ricardo Alduen

      Mi padre el Sr. Ricardo Alduén trabajó por 40 años como enfermero en el área de salud pública y privada. Durante su carrera profesional se especializó como enfermero oncólogo. Por muchos años lo vi prepararse para ir a atender miles de pacientes que pasaron por sus manos. Recuerdo con mucho orgullo como personas nos paraban en la calle para saludarlo y darle las gracias por su esmero y atención hacia ellos o algún familiar en algún momento en el que se encontraban delicados de salud. Era tan personal el trato que papi les daba que se convertían en amistades a las cuales íbamos y visitábamos en sus hogares. Algunos de ellos lamentablemente ya no están con nosotros.

      Desde antes del 2010 papi venía enfrentado varios problemas de salud que lo llevaron a un Fallo Renal y lleva dializándose desde abril de ese mismo año. Desde entonces ha tenido sus altas y sus bajas. Durante el pasado año 2017 vimos la esperanza de poder realizar un transplante de riñón. Cómo parte del proceso le realizaron una Colonoscopía. Lamentablemente 2 días antes de navidad nos dieron la devastadora noticia de que habían encontrado una masa en el Colon y que había que operarlo. Finalmente el pasado jueves, 15 de marzo de 2018, papi fue intervenido quirúrgicamente del intestino para remover la masa. El resultado de la patología dio positivo a cancer en etapa 3 y ahora estará recibiendo quimioterapia. El también padece de Diabetes, Hipertensión Anemia y Neuropatia Crónica que no le permite caminar.

      Todo este proceso nos ha afectado enormemente tanto física, emocional y económicamente. Y lamentablemente ya no podemos sostener más lo altos costos en que se incurren por esta situación. Es por esto que a nombre de mi padre les pido que lo ayuden a poder sobrepasar esta etapa. Cualquier donación es buena no importa lo pequeña que sea. Ayúdame a ayudarlo, así como el ayudó a tantas personas cuando pudo.

      My father Mr. Ricardo Alduen worked for over 40 years as a nurse in the public and private sector. During his professional career he specialized as an oncology nurse.. For many years I saw him getting ready to go to take care of many patients. I remember proudly how people stop us wherever we where to say hi and thank him for his dedication and efforts to them or it relatives in moments where they were ill. In many cases they became friends and we visited each other. Some of them unfortunately are not with us anymore.

      Since 2010, my dad was showing some health issues that eventually leaded him to have a Renal Failure. He is receiving dialysis since April of that year. He has his highs and lows and now he is in Stage 4 of his Renal Disease which is the final stage of the condition. During 2017, we saw hope in the possibility of having a kidney transplant. As part of the process to see if he qualifies for the procedure he has to have a Colonoscopy. Unfortunately 2 days before Christmas the doctor told us the devastating news. They had found a mass in the Colon and he needs to have surgery. Finally last March 15, 2018 he has his surgery done. They found out that the mass was indeed positive to cancer and it was in stage 3. Now he is getting ready to start the chemotherapy. He also have Diabetes, Hypertension, Anemia and chronic neuropathy that makes him not able to walk.
     
      All this process has affected him and us emotionally, physically and economically in a big way. It has been very difficult to deal with the costs of this process and other more to come. Is for these reason that we plea for your help, to help my dad getting through this process. Any donation its good no matter how small it is. Lets all help him, like he helped so many other before.
