Fundraising for Car Accident

Assalamualaikum.
Dear kind people who are reading this, It has been nearly four months since the accident in Pinnaroo happened. A group of Malaysian students studying in Sydney had involved in a car accident on their way to Adelaide in September 2017. The gale force winds had caused the driver to lost control of the car at that moment and hit a tree at the side of the road. While they were blessed with no severe injuries or casualties, the rental car, Kia Optima, was badly damaged in the accident and is considered as total loss by Apex Car Rentals. The total cost calculated that need to be paid is AUD $22,000 ($20,500 value of the car at current market based on Redbook.com.au value and $1, 500 towing).  
Apex Car Rentals agreed in allowing the payment to be made by instalment. The students involved in the accident are currently working on part-time in order to make payment for the refund and so far they managed to pay $3,600 to Apex Car Rentals as a result of multiple parties' contributions and still need $18,400 more to settle the full payment.
