Fundraising for Novaleigh and Family
Donation protected
Hey everyone.
I never thought we’d be in a situation like this with one of our kids, but here we are. Our daughter Novaleigh, who is 4 years old and autistic, has been in and out of different hospitals the last two months. We have been in Thibodaux Regional, New Orleans Children’s Hospital and OLOL Children’s. We recently were at OLOL Wednesday, didn’t have the specialists we needed, so back to NOLA Children’s Hospital Thursday, then we ended up at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, 5 hours away from home. She is admitted and we are waiting to hear back from tons of tests they are doing, meeting with all the specialists they are recommending, and working on pain control right now too until they figure out exactly what is wrong with her, and how they are going to go about treating it. With being in Houston, both of us are out of work right now. Me and Walter are having to both juggle taking turns in the hospital with Novaleigh and also caring for our other 5 kids. Over the last two months we have already spent a good amount of money on hotel rooms, food, gas, etc. This time again we have all of those expenses plus hospital bills that will be piling up due to them not taking her insurance here. We appreciate all the prayers, thoughts, and good vibes sent our way. We also appreciate everybody’s who has helped us and especially those who have dropped what they’re doing to help us in whatever way they can. We will continue to update everybody as much as we can. Our baby girl is so brave and strong!
