Connecting The Dots Fundraiser

Black History Ottawa (BHO) has the mandate to advance education by increasing the public’s knowledge and appreciation of the history, culture, traditions and achievements of Canadians of African descent.

Connecting the Dots is a project designed to highlight and promote the innovative contributions of grassroots mobilizers from the African Diaspora in Canada, this work will  create bonds between all Canadians, promote multiculturalism, establish equal opportunities and bring people together to continuously build our strong and prosperous country.

We are very excited to bring this cause to your attention. Our organization is counting on generous donors and supporters like you to achieve our goal. Your financial support will help us to put together case studies, digital stories featuring people of African descent, promising practices in entrepreneurship, and host an accessible online summit for the community. The informational assets gathered will help us to compile and publish online toolkits for the public, for entrepreneurs, researchers, schools, community members and other sectors such as health, culture, media, technology, justice, education, and democratic engagement.

Whether it is $10 or $200, your financial support will go directly to the charity and be invested in Connecting The Dots activities. Currently the project is scheduled to take place in more than 10 cities in 5 different provinces across Canada.
