Fundraising for Aru's Family

Arumugam Petchimuthu, fondly called "Aru", hailing from a remote village Tharaikkudi (தரைக்குடி) of southern Tamil Nadu, India. He grew up in a very humble background and reached the heights both in his social and professional fronts. He had a penchant for community service, with that he touched many hearts within the SF bay area and beyond. With an entrepreneurial mindset, he has launched multiple non-profit organizations for the benefits of the larger Tamil Community including the popular American Tamil Radio (ATR). He invested his time in serving the Tamil community in the USA. He had served as president of Bay Area Tamil Manram (SFBATM), erstwhile secretary of the FeTNA and WTO. Aru paid it forward to the community through his selfless services.

Aru survived with his close-knit family composed of his wife Julit Aru, sons Pradeep Arumugam, Kavin Arumugam and her adorable little daughter Nila Arumugam. Both Pradeep and Kavin are in college, Nila just started elementary school. They have been living in Dublin, CA for more than a decade now.

Aru passed away unexpectedly on July 20, 2022. The family and friends are shattered hearing this, while coping up with the loss, we are looking out to help the grieving family in any means that we could. Though we cannot bring back Aru, we could help to achieve his dreams about his family. Generous donations are greatly appreciated.

All the proceeds goes towards kids education and his family well being. Thanks everyone for helping and supporting Aru’s family in this difficult time.
