Fundraising for Angela & Josh

We have started this page to help our dear friend Angela and her son Josh. For those of you who know Angela, you know that she is an extraordinary human being. She is cheerful, loving, unbelievably strong and always puts her friends and family before herself.
Early this year Angela was diagnosed with stage 4 uterine cancer and was told it was a rare and aggressive form called Neuroendocrine Tumor. Angela started chemotherapy immediately and made it through four rounds like an absolute champion before having a full hysterectomy on 28 June. Angela’s team of doctors at the Royal Brisbane Hospital were happy with her progress and said her survival rate looked excellent, they scheduled her in for two more rounds of chemo and radiation to make sure the cancer wouldn’t come back. Angela returned back to work feeling positive about her future with Josh and started to plan a family holiday to the UK so Josh could go see his favorite soccer team Chelsea play a home match.
Unfortunately, Angela was taken to hospital two weeks ago in excruciating pain and on the 16 August 2017, she was told the cancer is now terminal having spread to her lymph nodes, stomach lining, and spine. On top of this, Angela’s kidneys are failing. If her kidneys can become functional again the doctors have given Angela anywhere from two to six months to live. This timeframe is dependent on whether or not Angela chooses to have chemo over the next few months. If Angela’s kidney’s fail however, she only has a week or two of life left.
We’re wanting to raise money to support Angela in spending as much quality time with Josh and her family as possible. We would love for Josh to have as many fond final memories of his mother. We want Josh to be able to grieve his mother and eventually learn to go on living. Any monetary amount you can contribute would go a long way in making this possible and would mean the world to Angela and Josh.
Life is the most precious gift that we are given, and it is only when you can see the end that you wish you should have used it much more wisely.
