Fundraiser in memory of Pete Newbon

Since the sudden death of Pete Newbon this month, his friends have asked how they can help his family at this difficult time.

Pete was a loving husband to Rachel, a devoted dad to their three girls, and a passionate campaigner against antisemitism. He was also an erudite and enthusiastic English literature lecturer at Northumbria University.

This fund is to support Rachel and the children with the many expenses that accompany a sudden death. It’s no compensation for the loss of such a gentle, well-respected man, but we hope it will be some comfort to Pete’s family to know that his community rallied round his family at their darkest hour. Any money left over from funeral and other expenses will be put into savings for Pete’s three girls, who were the centre of his life.
