About 6 years ago I was in this remote region of Kenya and I was deeply touched by the amazing Samburu women including the Umoja and Unity villages! They are survivors of domestic violence and other types of abuse. Throughout the village's existence they have relied on tourism for their main source of income. Due to COVID-19, they have been left with very little income (therefore little food resources) from the decline in tourism. I have partnered with my Kenyan friends to provide food and other necessary supplies for the villages. The total cost will be roughly $820. I’m asking for your support in this effort to provide life-saving relief to some of the most vulnerable!
