In Memory of Samuel Wakefield

Friends, Samuel Wakefield recently passed away after a 5 year battle with pancreatic cancer. Some of you may have contributed to Sam's personal fundraiser page in the past, but because he was unable to manage the previous one due to his decline in health, his wife, Kim asked me to set up a new page so that she and Hayley can benefit from your generosity more quickly and take care of some of the expenses they now face.

I got to know Kim and her family because my daughter is the same age as Hayley Wakefield and they played together when we lived closer. When I look at my 5 year old my heart breaks for what this family is going through, and for the enormous grief they will feel for years to come. I know yours does as well, and you know that financial difficulties will only add to the stress they experience.

Sam was a brave and strong husband and father throughout his exhausting cancer journey. He always had an amazing positive attitude and continued to give it his all without taking any breaks throughout the his 5yr medical treatments, all so that he could have a little more time with his family.  Unfortunately Sam was not able to get life insurance prior to his diagnosis and leaves behind a great deal of medical bills and day-to-day expenses for the family he was supporting. Please give generously. All donations will go directly to Sam's wife, Kim, and to Hayley's future expenses. The family thanks you for your support, love, and prayers!
