Fundraiser for “The Space” Episodic Film Project

We are excited to bring improvisation-fueled storytelling to the screen. Our story follows two astronauts in isolation after they awaken their paraplegic, curious, and loving third crew-mate—the onboard computer. Together, the three revisit and explore their past, while navigating life aboard the ship.
Our crew consists of:
Alex Killian -- Actor, Producer, and Filmmaker; winner of HIFF Best Colorado Short Film (2019, Audience Choice and Curator's Collection).
Steve Fox -- local filmmaker, cinematographer, and Actor.
Miguel Ontiveros -- cinematographer, producer, and musician.
Galen Trine-McMahan -- Actor
Jordyn Wagner -- Actor
Sound Designer -- TBD
Alex and Galen have been constructing back-story, with Alex completing a video-diary collection. Some CSU students and a local theatre professional will be coming to assist with set construction in early May. We've been stocking up on tubing, wiring, oxygen masks, and tin-foil. We've secured our sound, lighting, and camera setup. Our set is now complete with a small, robot-armed kitchen and bunk-bed. We still have work to do texturing some of the walls. Shooting will begin at the end of May in northern Fort Collins, using a three-camera setup and 8 hour film days, spread over five days of shooting. Editing and sound design will take place over Fall.
Money will be used to pay for set construction, sound design, and to pay a modest wage to our film crew (Steve and Miguel) for long days behind the camera.
