<div>When Mate became ill he made a doctor’s appointment for the following morning. Taking himself to his parents to get some rest, Mate didn’t know he’d developed pneumonia and would never make it to that appointment – or home to see his family one last time.

<div>With no life insurance and little superannuation to fall back on, Carla is on the brink of having to sell the last thing Mate gave to his young family.
