Tammy is a loving single mother of two teenage daughters who has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 metastasized melanoma in both of her lungs, and other parts of the body yet to be determined. She is bright, funny, generous and kind. She is not inclined to ask for help, herself, but we are reaching out to you for your support on her behalf.
The cancer Tammy has is incurable. The spread and growth of the cancer can only hopefully be slowed by costly monthly medical treatments. Tammy will be responsible for paying out of pocket for some of the expenses. She has no employment related benefits or health coverage because she is a self-employed house cleaner. Our intent is to garner some support to help Tammy in her time of need, and in the wake of receiving such a devastating medical diagnosis.
We just would like Tammy to have, at the least, some ease of mind in the early days of her diagnosis, and to have some help when she is unable to work during intense treatment periods. Tammy doesn’t have any extended family in the province, and is receiving as much as support as possible from her local friends. We will be there for her throughout her battle with this terrifying and relentless disease.
