Fundraiser for Steve Lavric’s family

It is with very heavy hearts that we announce that Steve Lavric passed away suddenly. Steve was a pillar within our community and has touched many hearts. Steve also known as “Big Lav”, “Gentle Giant”, “Big Steve” has made his imprint on the world and his memory lives on. He is loved by so many including his family, friends, community members and his OPP family.

He was a proud father to Tyson and Jessie and a loving grandfather to Callum.

Steve was also a huge part of the Kirkland Lake OPP family. He worked alongside police since 2003 beginning his career with the Town of Kirkland Lake and later patching over to the Ontario Provincial Police in 2017 as a Special Constable.

Our office will not be the same without him. Our community has lost one of the good ones.

He will be missed by so many and has left this world much too soon.

This fundraiser has been created to help lighten the financial burden on his wonderful family. We all need to come together and support the Lavric family the same way he has supported many over the course of his life. Any amount would be helpful towards the cost of his funeral and to assist his family.
