Fundraiser For Electrical system on Orphanage

Hello friends and family. May you all be living your true purpose and passions. I will be volunteering in late January to install the Solar and electrical systems at La Joya Eco Orphange. The main build will start in early December, 2018. It will be a totally off- grid, self sustainable center for abandoned and destitute children located in Mezunte Mexico. The Project:
The goal is to build a self-sustainable, autonomous orphanage that will provide water, energy, sewage treatment and food to its inhabitants.
This will be for some of the most children in need, especially refugee children and abandoned orphans.
Additionally, it will act as a cultural platform to enhance young people's knowledge of building "green" self-sustainable buildings in order to further empower the locals who lack the financial ability to live off grid.
The project is located in the State of Oaxaca, second poorest state of Mexico, and is very close to Guatemala. It is often a way for refugees to cross the country in order to reach U.S.A. This state has a precious untouched culture and some of the most beautiful landscapes, that sustainable projects can help to preserve.

The Space
We emphasize on the well being of children, and one of the main objectives of these buildings is to be able to offer them their own space. If individual rooms may be difficult, having a maximum of two children per room is a requirement for Joya children shelter. The lack of government funds therefore contribute to the lack of spacious foster homes and/ or orphanages to care for the amount of children in need. There are often up to three children sharing a single bed.
By building this orphanage, we intend to restructure that norm. We are fully committed to providing orphans the healing space they need to grow. The main house will extend to multiple pods, each pod housing up to two children maximum. This allows more space for comfort and serenity.
The growing crisis of children in Mexico
- 400,000 children in Mexico are without any parental care
- 100,000 children in Mexico live on the streets
- 5,000 children are trying to cross the US border alone every month

There is no help from the State of Mexico for the children and all orphanages are private.
We need to find a solution to give a decent life without much external help, therefore, we would like to be able to open the first totally autonomous orphanage in Latin America.
Children will evolve in a natural environment and learn to grow their own food as well as recycling, re-purposing materials and living sustainably.
I want to use my skills as a red seal journeyman electrician to make sure all electrical components are installed correctly, safely and that power distribution has been planned and executed. There are no proffessional electricians at the build and I feel my expertise will be of great service to this project. Your generous donations will pay for all expenses involved to help get me there and sustain me for 3.5 weeks. These expenses include:
- Travel to and from the build
- Medical insurance
- Food and accommodation
This will be phase 1 of my fundraising efforts. In Phase 2 I hope to at least raise 3000 dollars for components of the actual solar system. This will include a minimal 3000 watt solar array, an "outback" inverter, a decent mppt charge controller and agm batteries for storage. Plus all other electrical devices and lighting systems needed for the building. This is one of the biggest expenses of the over all general fundraising campaign. I hope to dedicate my time in phase 2 to help with this part of the general fund raiser.

The workshops will follow principles of Earthship design, Adobe, Cob, Earth Bag, Wattle and Daub, Rubble trench and Stone foundations, with fine natural plaster finishings. They are still in need of more participants and missing approximately 50 % of their targeted fund raising goals. Please help me help the children.
