Fundraiser for S.H.O.U.T. & Little Princess Trust
Myself (Karen) and my sister Susan would like to raise some money for Sligo Hospital Oncology Unit Trust (S.H.O.U.T.) and The Little Princess Trust by hosting a fundraiser over the coming few weeks.
In 2020, I (Karen) was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. I received my treatment in Sligo Hospital and was lucky enough to avail of the support of S.H.O.U.T.
Prior to beginning my treatment, I was so kindly provided with a beautiful wig from the Little Princess Trust to help cope with the hair-loss caused by my treatment.
These two charities mean so much to me and my family as they offered such invaluable support to us, as they do for countless others dealing with cancer.
My wonderful sister Susan has been growing her beautiful hair since I received my diagnosis in February of 2020 - and my god does it grow fast!! To raise our funds, Sue will be chopping her big long pony-tail to donate her hair to the Little Princess Trust.
As well as that, myself and my Mam (Ann) will hold a bake-sale on Saturday the 18th of September to raise an extra bit of cash for these well-deserving causes. Further details on the bake-sale to follow!
