Fundraiser for "The Last Exit"

Hello! My name is Elise, and I'm the director/co-writer of "The Last Exit". With the help of one of my favorite creative partners, Phil Cathoir, we were able to come
up with a short film idea that we'd be able to do within the confines of Covid. Now that production has wrapped, we are onto the next step, Post-Production, and
with that comes a new hurdle.... Funding. 

Both Phil and I are passionate about filmmaking, but work regular, full-time jobs,
so any project we do, is self funded. This current project we are extremely proud of, and excited about, but we need your help to take it a step further. 

You're probably asking yourself a few things right now. What is this film about,
and why should I bother to donate? You will find both of those answers listed
below: 


Synopsis - 
"On a road trip off the beaten path, two young women find their way across the
country and into each others arms. Their journey filled with memories that will
last a lifetime, as they find themselves at the last exit."


Where the Money will Go -

Music Rights:
Part way into the process of getting everything set up, I decided to reach out to
the agents of the artist, who wrote the song that inspired the film, to see if it was possible to get permission to utilize the song within the film. After e-mailing back and forth for a few weeks, and sending them the rough cut of the project, I was
able to clear the rights on all sides, which is a huge step! The next hurdle now, is
getting together the money to cover the license fee. 

Original Music:
We also know some amazingly talented, local musicians that will be helping us
out, and creating some original music for the film as well, so we would like to be
able to pay them for their work! 

Post-Production Costs:
Since we have already filmed, the only left is putting the film together. We have
hired an editor to do the work, and part of the funds will go directly to her for her hard work.

Festival Fees:
Film Festivals are a great way to get exposure, so the more festivals you get into,
the better. Those fees add up, so the funds will help offset our out of pocket costs.

If there's anything left over, we'd ultimately like to kick back some of the money to our amazing Drone Operator/Dog Wrangler, and our two lead actresses.
