<div>My name is Todd Libby, and I am starting this on the behalf of my partner of four years, Paula Johnson.

<div>Paula was diagnosed with a tumor on her thyroid and has insurance (United HealthCare. Yes, the one and only) and UHC does not cover all her medical bills and has denied her claims and even with the doctor's insistence, they still refuse to cover her on this matter to cover her expenses.
</div>

<div>Every time Paula goes to the doctor or has tests done, she gets yet another bill because UHC refuses to cover the visit or test. So far, the total bill has been about $10,000 which she has been able to somehow pay out of pocket and come up with most of the money, but the bills keep coming and the total keeps climbing.

<div>If she does not or can not pay her bills, the doctor refuses to see her until the bill is paid up, in full, at that time. Paula will need surgery soon to remove the tumor, and whether or not is is benign or not, remains a mystery because of the refusal to be seen by the doctor's office and the denial every step of the way by UHC.

<div>We need to come up with the money to cover these costs and this is just a start. Covering that and her lost wages due to me being out of work for a year, she needs to cover her missed wages as well because she does not have any sick leave.

<div>All monies raised here go directly into an account which is then used by Paula to pay off all the past due bills and any left over will be in reserve for any future bills.
</div>
