Fundraiser for Ndiini School Programme

We were scrolling through Instagram and saw a post just posted by Ndiini's School Food Programme a charity set up by my lovely German teacher Ms.Dempsey immediately we were questioning ourselves into how we could help and we came up with an idea of that us four will run 100 Km each so 400km in total over the next two weeks of quarantine to fund-raise for all the kids in need of a meal. The charity was set up for approximately 500 students it provides them a meal of rice and beans every day. The school is located in a surburb of Nairobi called Kawaha Sukari. All students from kindergarten age through to fourteen years get lunch. The school has minimal facilities. There are roughly five students with access to one book. However, the students are all desperate to continue their education and with a basic meal a day, this is possible. Providing the students with a filling meal a day increases the likelihood of the students continuing with their education . Especially with the current situation of Covid-19 spreading all around the world and 435 cases in Kenya it made us all want to help in whatever way we could. As a group we all feel lucky to have comfortable lives and no shortage of food so it is vital to try and help them. Their society lives with stresses of perhaps not been able to feed their own kids but they remain positive and grateful for there lives. By our target of 1000 Euro this will feed all 500 kids for a whole month!! Any donation is gratefully received and we look forward to reaching it!!
