<div>Hi my name is Larissa and I am fundraising for my daughter Kaelee and her husband Matt.

<div>Matt was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma for the third time last year and is unable to work after having a stem cell transplant. His recovery is going to be a very slow process and this week they have had some more news that there is some opacity in the lungs. Doctors cannot confirm what it is exactly but Matt and Kaelee are back in watch and wait mode.

<div>Matt’s energy levels are very low and performing even the most basic tasks is very exhausting for him. They have a loan they are paying off for their wedding and a car loan and it’s becoming increasingly more difficult to make ends meet. Any donation big or small will be greatly appreciated and will help ease the pressure during this stressful time for them.

<div>Below a bit of a timeline of their journey:

<div>2008 - initial occurrence of cancer, caught at stage 2, treated with radiation.
</div>
<div>2014 - Matt and I met through friends, became close friends, both having gone through rough divorces at the same time.
</div>
<div>2016 - we start dating
</div>
<div>2017 - we move in together
</div>
<div>Christmas 2018 - after months of pain and deterioration in leg function, Matt has emergency surgery after finding a tumour wrapped around his spinal cord.

<div>2019 - chemotherapy for first 6 months of the year, then recovery
</div>
<div>2022 - we finally get married after covid delaying things
</div>
<div>2024 - routine scan showed a significant recurrence of the cancer (Hodgkin's lymphoma), resulting in further chemotherapy, surgeries, and a stem cell transplant, concluded end of 2024.
</div>
<div>2025 - now in recovery period, which we've been warned could be months, he has been unable to work, and will be limited in what he can physically do
</div>
<div>Feb 25: Most recent scan showed some changes, specifically ground glass opacity in the lungs. Right now, it isn't presenting any symptoms, and could be benign, but we are living in the watch-and-wait stage pretty much constantly. It will be followed up again in 3 months, and assessed further from there.
