The number of patients requiring advanced critical care at Lions Gate Hospital has doubled in a decade.  Around 70% of patients entering the emergency department have suffered a serious illness or injury that requires advanced levels of care.   If nothing is done, there will continue to be a shortage of adequate medical care, equipment and services to support the growing need of patients who need critical care to have the best chance of recovery.  I am teaming up with several health and wellness studios and clinics across the North Shore to raise funds for the critical care unit. We will be putting on a series of workshops related to health, wellness and exercise to raise funds. All workshops are by donation. We suggest a minimum donation of $10 for attending each workshop. 100% of funds raised will be used to refurbish a second-floor space at Lions Gate Hospital and equip the new critical care unit with advanced life-saving technology and equipment.
