Fundraiser for Kim’s Fight Against AML Leukemia

At the beginning of September, Kim wasn’t feeling well. After two weeks of worsening symptoms, she was rushed to the ER where tests revealed a devastating diagnosis: Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). She was immediately transferred to a larger hospital and began aggressive chemotherapy right away. She is now going through treatment and facing the toughest battle of her life with incredible strength and courage.

Kim is more than a patient—she’s a beloved mother, daughter, sister, wife, friend, and neighbor. She has always been known for her kindness, her support for others, and her love of her campground community. When she’s not out fishing, she’s creating beautiful crafts and usually supplements her income by selling them at vendor events.

Unfortunately, her illness and hospitalization have made it impossible for her to continue working and earning that extra income she relies on. The road ahead is long, and the medical bills are already overwhelming. On top of treatment costs, her family is also facing the struggle with day-to-day expenses. The hospital is 1.5 hours away from her home and her sister, which means her loved ones face additional fuel costs just to be by her side and support her through this journey.

We are asking for help to: Cover medical expenses and treatment costs, help with bills while Kim is in the hospital and while continuing her treatment, and support the family with travel costs to and from the hospital.

Kim has always been someone who shows up for others—with love, with laughter, and with her crafty creations. Now, it’s our turn to show up for her.
