This is a fundraiser for little HUGO, a German Wire Haired Pointer who is approximately 4-5 months old. HUGO was found abandoned in a forest by a lady walking her dog, his leg is badly injured and he is clearly in pain.
The lady took him to the vet to take a look at his leg and he confirmed that his injuries are consistent with a blow, or several blows to the leg. It's very likely he was physically abused and then dumped in the forest, left to die in pain. He has had very basic veterinary care to clean the wounds to his leg but HUGO's leg is not in good shape, it is badly swollen and inflamed. especially around the knee area and foot. He needs to be fully assessed to see if there are any fractures, he needs blood tests, x rays to start.
We are trying to do all we can to save his leg and avoid any infection setting in, he needs to be in a sanitized area and he is being collected as a matter of urgency. HUGO needs specialist veterinary care quickly to give him the best chance and the word 'specialist' will tell you that this is going to require big funds.
