Hello!

My name is Lenore Presley, and I am thrilled to introduce myself as a DeafBlind woman empowered by my incredible guide dog, a vibrant yellow Labrador retriever named Hachi. I was fortunate to receive Hachi from the remarkable Guiding Eyes for the Blind in Yorktown Heights, New York, at https://www.guidingeyes.org/, in August 2022, and we have been an unstoppable guide team ever since.

Hachi has been a beacon of independence and freedom, allowing me to move around with confidence, which I deeply cherish. I am reaching out to seek assistance in raising funds to help me pay for Hachi's transformative dental surgery, which took place on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. This surgery was a vital step in preventing Hachi from losing his molar teeth after he was diagnosed with gum loss last summer, and I am so grateful we could take proactive measures.

As a Social Security benefits recipient with limited financial resources, the surgery is costing me three thousand five hundred dollars, a significant investment in Hachi's well-being. Guiding Eyes has generously committed one thousand five hundred dollars, and I am now requesting two thousand dollars to help me pay the remaining balance as soon as possible, so we can continue to thrive together.
