Fundraiser for Family Reunion 2022

My name is Julia Brunelle and I have been living with cancer for over 33 years now. Despite every set back, I've kept positive and tried to make the most of the time I have. Last year, I was given the news that my cancer had entered stage 4. I know that I don't have a lot of time left so I want to make my remaining days as memorable as possible. I am now reaching out to you, my friends and family, to help make that a reality.

In summer of 2020, I was going to attend the Caldwell family reunion. Due to the pandemic, the reunion has been postponed to this August. I know this may be my last chance to see my cousins, aunts, uncles, and many others I have been separated from because of my declining health and the pandemic lockdowns. With my doctor's blessing, I have been given the okay to make this trip but I will need to be accompanied by a caregiver. I need daily care to change my dressings and flush the drainage tube for my abscess. I also require assistance with bathing and sometimes changing clothes, which will be provided by my caregiver. While I am excited to see my family, I will also be saying goodbye to four of my aunts and uncles who died last year at funerals that are to be held for them at the reunion. My uncle Billy and aunts Fran and Laurie Caldwell all passed away from cancer last year. My aunt BJ died with covid. I also plan on visiting my mother's grave for the last time, who passed away from cancer when I was 25. Your donations will allow me to pay my respects for a final time.
