Fundraiser and 88th Birthday For Milton Hopkins
Donation protected
Milton Hopkins is one of Houston's last living ties to its regal blues history. He is the cousin to the Late Blues Great Lightening Hopkins. The guitar great has been playing around the city for over seven of seven decades. Some of his accomplishments include playing with BB King in the '50s and served for a time as his band leader. Hopkins also backed Little Richard, Sam Cooke and many others. On January 30th, Milton will turn 88 and we will be celebrating him with a fundraiser and birthday party at Houston’s Premier Blues Club, The Big Easy on Kirby Drive. We are asking any and all to help us reach our goal of $10,000. Help us honor one of the last living Houston Blues Legends.
