In a nutshell:
For the long-term health of my teeth and mouth, I need to have my jaws re-positioned through what is called orthognathic surgery. In the simplest terms, this includes restructuring both of my jaws and my chin.
This will ensure that my bite and bones stay healthy as I age. If gone uncorrected, this will create further and major wear and tear on my teeth, my sinus cavities and could have jaw implications. The exciting news is that after 10 years of waiting for my bones to age and 2 years of braces, I am ready for surgery!

What does this mean? That I need all of the emotional AND financial support I can get! The total cost will be approx $30,000, so I need to raise as much money for a down payment as possible so that I can DO THIS ALREADY.
The goal: To raise $5,000 (or more!) by end of January to cover a portion of my medical costs.
Forget a birthday present, holiday gift, buying me drinks.....I don't need that stuff! (Although I appreciate it of course!) Instead, consider throwing a few bones my way towards this---because I've wanted this forever.
I also will continue to post photos and updates as I prepare for this big event so that you learn more about what's going on. But feel free to ask me at anytime if you are curious about any of this--my mouth, the surgery, why I'm fundraising, etc.
