Funding my father's funeral costs

Marcos Landeros was a great father, great sibling, and great friend.

Born on December 2, 1964, Marcos lived a full and eventful life. He raised 5 children, each with a piece of his wonderful attributes. He showed the world that funny was the way to be and lived by the mantra of respect and showing love to one another. He fell ill the last years of his life, plagued by diabetes, blindness, and lost the function of his kidneys.

From the beginning, my dad was set to be a family man. He loved children, and never shied from showing it. He raised 5 children, giving them the same, equal love. Family was blood, sweat and tears for him, as he worked most of his life so that nothing was missing from our lives. He had a traditional Mexican upbringing, and brought God into his childrens' lives, dictating his as well with God's.

Those who knew him knew him for his friendliness and humor. He never shied away from making fart jokes, smiling as the smell reached his unsuspecting children. Or when he would put his underwear on his head and chase us as kids. He lived to make us laugh, even when things were serious. He knew that the best things in life were unexpected, and a smile could solve a hundred problems.

In the last couple of years, the hard working man needed some rest. He grew tired, his feet hurt, and his health deteriorated. He woke up everyday to work his two jobs to provide for his children. He suffered in silence and would say everything was alright. One day, he fell ill, and a simple hospital visit resulted in worse news: kidney failure, heart problems, and blindness. Months in the hospital, he believed everything would be alright, and signs of progress would be offset by more hospital visits. He lost his vision and his ability to walk. What he didn't lose was his joy and silliness. He coped with his family, and we thought everything was alright.

On October 7, 2017, he took his last breathe without assistance. He had a stroke and our hearts lost a part that was given to us by him. A bit of us died and continues to mourn. We have to make a tough decision at a very young age. We need help. With your help, we can fund the funeral costs and burrying arangements.
