Funding Justice for the Sawyers Family

Valree Sawyers raised her family in a little house in east Austin and lived there until she passed away.  In her lifetime it was called the House of Hope for all the people in the community who came there when they were in need.  The door was always open.  Now her children are being hounded by developers to sell the land.  These vultures have paid past due taxes that were in payment arrangements and are demanding to be repaid or they will foreclose on the home and own it outright.  The family does not have the means to fight these shady business dealings so are requesting donations to pay lawyers fees and save the family land.  

We have to work together to stop these predatory land buyers from taking any parcel they set their sights on in east Austin.  Our grandmother worked long and hard and was a part of the fabric of the community her whole life.  Her children and grandchildren should not be forced out because someone wants to build a mansion and make a buck.
