Funding for "Baile Molhado" Kiki Ball in Lisbon

"Baile Molhado" é uma Kiki Ball que acontecerá no dia 3 de Setembro de 2022 em Lisboa, organizado por Lovey, Mother da Casa das Musas, em colaboração com o coletivo NADA. A Casa das Musas é a 1a Casa Kiki de Portugal, oficializada em 2021, e tem vindo a cultivar consistentemente desde 2019 espaços que sejam seguros para debate, apoio, formação e praticas artísticas de Ballroom orientadas por Lovey, para a comunidade LGBTQIAP+, imigrantes e pessoas com identidades não-brancas. Grande parte das iniciativas da Casa são gratuitas ou cujos fundos arrecadados são para apoiar us artistes convidades.

Existe muita vontade em criar momentos de celebração para toda a comunidade Kiki, em Balls onde representam e batalham nas suas categorias em nome das suas Casas. Esta Kiki Ball é para isso mesmo, proporcionar esse encontro num baile bem molhadinho, suado e cremoso.

Para a organização de uma Kiki, para além do espaço e outras questões logísticas, são necessários DJ, MC e Jurades (neste caso 5) que serão maioritariamente internacionais, sendo necessário pagar os voos, estadia, etc, de forma a proporcionar o mínimo de conforto.

Este fundraising é para que esta Kiki aconteça, começando por angariar 2500€ . Qualquer doação é extremamente apreciada para apoiar esta iniciativa e a comunidade Ballroom da Kiki Scene.

"Baile Molhado" is a Kiki Ball that will take place on September 3rd 2022 in Lisbon, organized by Lovey, Mother of the Kiki House of Musa, in collaboration with the collective NADA. The Kiki House of Musa is the 1st Kiki House of Portugal, official in 2021, and since 2019 they have been cultivating safe spaces for debates, support, training and consistent artistic Ballroom practices oriented by Lovey, for the LGBTQIAP+ community, immigrants and people with non-white identities. Most of the Musa's initiatives are for free or whose funds go to support our guest artists.

There is a lot of desire to create moments of celebration for the entire Kiki community that take place in Balls where they represent and battle in their categories in the name of their Houses. This Kiki Ball is for that very reason, to provide this meeting in a very wet, sweaty and creamy Ball.

For the organization of a Kiki, in addition to space and other logistical issues, DJs, MCs and Judges (in this case 5) are needed, which will be mostly international, being necessary to pay for flights, accommodation, etc, in order to provide the minimum of comfort.

This fundraising is to make this Kiki happen, starting with raising €2500. Any donation is greatly appreciated to support this initiative and the Ballroom Community of the Kiki Scene.
