Our Goal
Our beloved MalletKat percussion instrument that was on perma-loan for many years has had to return to its home, so we are in need of purchasing a replacement version!
Help us reach our goal by purchasing a key, a chord, or a whole octave on a new MalletKat Grand multi-purpose percussion instrument! For the following donation levels you will help fund our need and move us a step closer to our goal:
- Purchase a Key: $50
- Purchase a Chord: $100
- Purchase an Octave: $500
You are of course welcome to make a donation any amount at what ever level you would like and help us get there as well!
The MalletKat is a multipurpose electronic percussion instrument that can be used to produce the sounds of multiple traditional instruments such as marimbas and vibraphones across 4 octaves of sound, making it a versatile instrument to cover many of our musical needs all in one!
We hope to raise the funds and purchase the new MalletKat before the start of our Autumn 2018 season rehearsals in August.
About RCPA
Rainbow City Performing Arts (RPCA) is a non-profit LGBTQI organization in Seattle, that provides opportunities for people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and allied to share their musical talents through public performances. We foster music education, friendships and community giving. RCPA includes Purple Passion Swing Band, a concert band, marching band, color guard, and pep band among other ensembles.
